Dr Sean Grimes took over from Dr Martin Walshe in the Killrainey Surgery in Moycullen in 2008. Due to the ongoing growth of the Practice since 2008 and the growth of the Moycullen population throughout that time, Dr Grimes was on the lookout for a larger Practice to allow him to meet the growing demand. During 2023, an opportunity presented itself to move to the new state of the art Primary Care Centre in the heart of Moycullen village. Assisted by Dr Deirdre Murray, the practice continued to grow from 2023 to 2025. In October 2025, the Practice was rebranded Moycullen Family Practice and in November of the same year, the Practice became a two GP practice allowing increased capacity to see patients with an emphasis on women’s health. The Practice provides a full GP service for the growing community which you can find here.
